Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is the new 2024-2026 In Colors. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I find all the bright 2024-2026 In Colors really pretty, so I had a tough time trying to figure out what kind of card I wanted to make. I had the option of just highlighting one of the colors, then I thought to myself, why not showcase all of them!
Showing all the color on one card came rather easy to me. Back when I mailed out my annual catalogs, I created bookmarks that had a little strip of each color on them. During that process, I ended up with little 1/2″ strips that were left over and decided to hang on to them for a later use.
Thankfully, I remembered where I put them (LOL), and put them to use by creating a background.
The stamps and dies that I used on this card are the Unbounded Love bundle and Flowers of Beauty dies.
To make the card
- Cut 1/2” strips of each In Color and adhere them to a piece of Basic White cardstock, leaving about 5/8” in between the edges of each color. (The picture above shows how far apart the pieces are on the bookmark)
- Cut the cardstock in 1/2” strips so that you get a small piece of each color on it.
- Score and fold a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Lay a 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” piece of Basic White cardstock on your Silicone Craft Sheet and apply the strips, one at a time, rotating the color patterns.
- Turn the piece over and cut off the excess with your Paper Snips.
- Wrap a 6” piece of Petunia Pop ribbon around the piece, about 1” up from the bottom, and secure the ends with Stampin’ SEAL. Then, attach the piece to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Crop a piece of Petunia Pop cardstock and the 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer paper with the Flowers of Beauty dies and adhere them to the card.
- Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Petunia Pop ink.
- Crop the sentiment with the Unbounded Beauty dies and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach three 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots as shown.
