A Changing Leaves You Are Amazing Card

Happy Thursday! Today I have a Changing Leaves You Are Amazing card to share with you.

A Changing Leaves You Are Amazing Card - main photo

This card was made for our monthly Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge and the theme was earthy colors.

Nothing says earthy colors more to me than a nice fall card full of autumn leaves! The gorgeous oranges, greens, and browns work so well together too. For this card, the following colors were used.

The leaves and background were really easy to make with the help of the Changing Leaves stamp bundle and hybrid embossing folder.

To make the card

  • Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
  • Sandwich a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Changing Leaves embossing folder and run through your cut & emboss machine.
  • Adhere the embossed piece to a 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” piece of Early Espresso cardstock and adhere both to the card base.

  • Adhere a 1 3/4” x 3 7/8” piece of Early Espresso to the middle of the card.

  • On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the following; one large leaf with Pecan Pie ink, one leaf bunch with Mossy Meadow ink, and one maple leaf with Copper Clay ink.
  • Color in the maple leaf with your Pecan Pie Watercolor Pencil, then go over it again with your Blender Pen to make it smooth.
  • Crop the leaves, as well as a single leaf and set of leaves in Early Espresso cardstock, two sprigs in Copper Clay cardstock, and large label in Crumb Cake cardstock, with the Changing Leaves dies.

  • Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Then, crop it, as well as, a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the 3rd largest shape from the Countryside Corners dies.

Time to put it all together

  • Layer and adhere all the leaves and sprigs (except the maple leaf) to the large Crumb Cake die cut using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Adhere the maple leaf to the back of the sentiment, then adhere it to the rest of the leaves. (Hint- when gluing the sentiment and maple leaf down, apply a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the top of the sentiment and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the leaf.)
  • Apply some more Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the whole piece and adhere to the center of the card.
