A Corner Bouquet Sale-a-Bration for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

The new Sale-a-Bration sale is starting soon, so this month we are showcasing items made from the upcoming sale. I am showcasing the the Corner Bouquet stamp set because I think it is really pretty. Since I don’t think that most will see it’s potential, I have decided to give it the spotlight.

Stampin’ Up! has spoiled us when it comes to flowers. We love all the layers and the matching dies that go with them. But, what happens when a stamp set comes along that doesn’t have layers or dies? You have to use other techniques to really make it stand out. Since the stamps are one-dimensional, coloring them with your Stampin’ Write Markers will give them the added color and dimension that they need.

To make the Watercolor Corner Bouquet card on the left

  • Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Granny Apple Green card stock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
  • Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock to the card base.
  • Wrap a 6″ piece of silver Metallic Edge ribbon around the middle of a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Flower & Field designer series paper (DSP), secure the ends on the back with adhesive, and adhere to the card using Stampin’ SEAL.
  • Color the flower stamp with Bumblebee, Cherry Cobbler, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • Hold the stamp out about an arm’s length and lightly spritz the stamp with some water in a Stampin’ Spritzer. (be careful not to saturate it too much)
  • Stamp your image on a 4″ x 5″ piece of Watercolor paper and let it dry.
  • Using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, crop the following with the Stitched So Sweetly dies: the flower image with the 2nd largest die and a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock with the largest die.
  • Adhere the flower to the Granny Apple Green piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then adhere both layers to the middle of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals again.
  • Tie a bow in the silver Metallic Edge ribbon and adhere to the left side of the card using a Glue Dot.
  • Attach three silver Metallic Pearls as shown.

How to earn the FREE items

The first two items can be earned by spending $50. The Punch Party stamp, however, is a host stamp set. You will have to host a party and your guests will have to place an order of $300 or more to earn it.

Here are a couple of examples on how to earn those FREE $50 items by simply buying the items needed to make the Corner Bouquet Sale-a-Bration cards.
