The 12th card, A Country Christmas with Arrange a Wreath is the last in my 12 weeks of Christmas series. It’s easy to make and makes a great last minute card!
Nothing says country like plaid. Pair it with some Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake and you have a beautiful country motif Christmas card.
I really do love this plaid paper. It is from a collection called Plaid Tidings and I can’t seem to get enough of it. Sadly, it is being retired, but the good news is that you can get it at a discount!
Are you ready to make this beautiful card? Making it is relatively easy, so if you need a last minute Christmas card, you still have time.
To make this card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake card stock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Adhere a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Chery Cobbler card stock to card base.
- Color a 6″ piece of Flowers for Every Season ribbon with the dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, wrap around a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Plaid Tidings designer series paper (DSP) and secure the ends to the back with adhesive.
- Wrap a 6″ piece of Braided Linen Trim around the Plaid Tidings DSP (on top of the Cherry Cobbler ribbon), secure the ends to the back with adhesive, and attach to the card using Stampin’ SEAL.
- With your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, crop out three wreaths using the Wreath Builder dies. One leaf wreath in Cherry Cobbler card stock, one leaf wreath in Crumb Cake card stock, and one sprig wreath in Crumb Cake card stock.
- Adhere the wreaths to the card in the following order: Crumb Cake sprig wreath, followed by the leaf wreath in Cherry Cobbler, then the leaf wreath in Crumb Cake on top.
- On a piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp a sign using the stamp off technique with Crumb Cake ink. (stamp off means to ink up your stamp, stamp on a piece of scrap paper, then without re-inking your stamp, stamp your image where desired)
- Stamp the sentiment on the sign using Tuxedo Memento black ink, fussy cut the sign (fussy cut means to cut out with your Paper Snips) and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach 7 Wonderful Gems to the wreath and 3 to the sign as shown.
I would love to hear from you. Please let me know what you think of the Country Christmas with Arrange a Wreath card.
Have a Merry Christmas!!
