Happy Tuesday! I have a Dutch Door Fun Fold for you today for the SU Demos Blog Hop. It’s a quick, easy fun fold and is a great way to show off your designer series paper (DSP).
The DSP that I wanted to show off is the Day at the Farm paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. This paper is not the typical paper that I put on my must have list, but when I saw it, I had a plan in mind. The print with the geese and the chicken wire immediately made me think of the Silly Goose stamp set in the annual catalog, so I knew it would be a perfect pairing.
The Sale-A-Bration promotion ends today, and since I hadn’t yet used the paper, it was time to get busy.
I began by cutting a 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ square out of my regular 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base to give me the barn door look. Next, I cut and adhered matching cardstock and the DSP.
After my layers were adhered, I stamped my goose image, colored it with my Stampin’ Blends, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The sentiment was laid on top of a coil of Pumpkin Pie twine and some Classic Matted Dots were added to jazz it up.
To complete my card, a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock was adhered to the inside of the barn door flap with the sentiment.
That’s it, super-easy! But wait, there is more…
A second project
After putting this card together, I decided to make a couple of gift card holders with another Sale-A-Bration paper, Dandy Designs. It’s a very large pack of paper, with a great assortment of colors, and can be found on page 14 of the SAB brochure.
These are just as easy as the card too! I first saw them from Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty. She made these gift card holders for one of our monthly blog hops and today I have used her design, with a couple of changes.
I didn’t use the ribbon to keep them closed, I used small velcro dots. They are the perfect size and have just the right amount of strength to open and keep the card shut.

My fellow Demos have some great fun folds to share with you as well. Be sure to hop along with them by clicking their links below. And, be sure to follow along with us on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
