I have a Lets Go Shopping card for you today made with the My Small Business stamp set.
Since it’s a “let’s go shopping” theme for TGIFC 488, what could be better than shopping for Stampin’ Up!?
For this theme, the obvious stamp choice would have been Market Goodness or Attention Shoppers, but I do not have those sets. Instead, I had to think a little out of the box, and this is what I came up with.
I chose the My Small Business stamp set because it has a cute little shopping bag. It was perfect for the shopping theme, so all it needed was a logo. For that, I just downloaded a Stampin’ Up! image, shrunk it down to size, then printed it off.
To make the card
- Begin with a 4 1/4” x 11” piece of Basic White thick cardstock, score and fold at 5 1/2” to form your card base.
- Sandwich a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Forever Plaid embossing folder and run through your cut & emboss machine. Then, adhere it to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. (the folder in the upcoming Sep-Dec 2024 mini catalog)
- Stamp a single shopping bag in Memento black ink on the following papers; Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Garden Green cardstock, Poppy Parade DSP, Daffodil Delight DSP, Blueberry Bushel DSP, and Highland Heather DSP.
- Fussy cut the shopping bags. (Fussy cut means to cut with your Paper Snips.)
- Adhere a small Stampin’ Up! Logo to each of the bags using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink.
- Crop the sentiment and a piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Stylish Shapes dies and a piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Nested Essentials dies.
- Adhere the shopping bags to the large Basic Black die cut. Then adhere the two labels together and adhere them to the bottom left corner.
- Apply some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere it to the card.
- Attach three Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems as shown.
