The Jewish New Year is almost here, so today I have a Mazel Tov Chag Sameach card for you.

This card was made for the #TGIFC542 sketch challenge.

Sketch challenges are so much fun, and I just love doing them. The design is already done for you, so all you have to do is replace the shapes with your products.
One of the products that I chose to make this card is the new Mazel Tov stamp set. It is an online exclusive that Stampin’ Up! released in July.

For those not familiar with Jewish Holidays, the Jewish New Year is called Rosh Hashanah. This year it starts the evening of September 22nd and ends on September 24th.
The sentiment on the front of my card means Happy Holiday. For the inside (although I did not photograph it) I stamped L’Shana Tovah. It translates to “a good year”, and the apple and honey symbolize the wishes for a “sweet year.”
To make the card
To make this card, I followed the design of the sketch. I used a piece of the Country Woods DSP, embossed with the Birch Wood embossing folder, as the background.
The small gingham squares are from the new Christmas Traditions DSP, and the sentiment was heat embossed in White embossing powder.
A piece of the fun, new Irregular Weave Trim was placed under the sentiment, and to complete the card, I added three Neutral Matte Dots.

If you would like step-by-step directions, you can download the PDF tutorial (complete with pictures) by clicking on the button below.
Do you have some products in mind that will work for this sketch? We would love to have you play along with us this month over at the TGIF Challenges Blog.
Also, be sure to leave me a comment below. I would love to know what you think about my Mazel Tov Chag Sameach card.
