Today I have a Potted Geraniums Birthday card for you. This is a simple card that you can easily put together when a quick birthday card is needed.
I am truly fond of this stamp set. It has some really great sentiments and the geraniums are not only pretty, they have a lot of detail.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, score and fold at 4 ¼” to form your card base.
- Layer and adhere a 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” piece of Design a Daydream designer series paper (DSP) to a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Adhere to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (MLG).
- On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp two each of the following; a leaf background in Old Olive (stamped off), a detailed leaf in Mossy Meadow, a flower background in Melon Mambo (stamped off), and a detailed flower in Sweet Sorbet ink. (stamp off means to ink up your stamp, stamp on a piece of scrap paper, then without re-inking your stamp, stamp your image where desired)
- Stamp two flowerpots, using the background and detail stamp, in Soft Suede, two piles of dirt, and your sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Crop your stamped images with the Geranium dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Adhere the potted geraniums together using MLG and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Layer on the sentiment
- Apply two Stampin’ ‘Dimensionals down the back of the sentiment. Then, apply some MLG to the sides, and adhere to the card. (hint- since the geraniums are already raised, this technique will ensure that it lays flat.)
- Attach five Solid Faceted Gems as shown.
How was that for easy? I would love to hear from you. Please let me know what you think of my Potted Geraniums Birthday card.
