A winter wonderland can mean so many things, and for me, I think of the days when I lived in Ohio. I grew up there, and there was plenty of winter, sometimes a wonderland and others not so much.

Nonetheless, those Ohio winters always remind me of watching the classic Christmas movies. One in particular is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It’s amazing that it has been around since 1964, and after all these years, it’s still just as popular.

With Rudolph in mind, I created this fun card with the Reindeer Fun stamp bundle. Giving the deer a red nose was as simple as adding a small piece of Real Red cardstock within the deer sandwich.

Here is how I made this fun Winter Wonderland card

  • Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Garden Green cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
  • Sandwich the front of your card base in the Forever Plaid embossing folder and run through your cut & emboss machine.
  • Adhere a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4” piece of Reindeer Days DSP, diagonally, to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then adhere a 3 1/2” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock to it.
  • Using the Deckled Circles dies, crop a piece of Basic White and Real Red cardstock with the 7th smallest die, and a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock with the 8th smallest die.
  • Cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to measure 1/4” x 1/2” and crop the following with the Reindeer Fun dies; a circle with greenery within the real red circle, and a set of berries in Real Red cardstock, holly leaves in Garden Green cardstock, a deer shadow with antlers in Early Espresso cardstock, a detailed deer with solid ears in Crumb Cake cardstock, and a detailed deer with hollow ears in Pecan Pie cardstock.

  • Adhere the deer pieces, the holly and berries, and the three circles together as shown. (Hint-to give the deer a red nose, apply the small piece of Real Red cardstock to the back of the Crumb Cake piece first.)

  • Apply a Stampin’ Dimensional to the top of the back of the deer and some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the bottom section. Adhere it to the center of the circles.
  • Adhere the circles to the card and attach the holly to the top left of it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Stamp your sentiment on a 1/2” x 3 1/4” (cut at a diagonal on the left side) piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock with Garden Green ink.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach one berry cluster and two single Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Berries embellishments as shown.
