April 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I have some wonderful Paper Pumpkin Alternatives for you today from the April 2023 kit.

This was such a fun kit. The die cuts and the colors are just beautiful! The foil details really add some elegance too.

Here are the colors that I used to create these cards.

I’m not sure what took me so long to put this kit together, but alas, here are my alternatives.

The first alternative

The first alternative is made with just the kit items. There is some background stamping, but the die cut does all the work.

To give a little interest, there is some Calypso Coral twine wrapped around the sentiment.

The second alternative

The second alternative has a portion of the envelope behind the cut out. It gave it a soft, pretty blue background that matches the base.

The Bough punch and Stylish Shapes dies created some nice elements to place behind the die cut flower.

The last alternative

The last alternative is a slimline and has an embossed texture for the background.

Some leaves made of Rose Gold Specialty paper and the Basic Black twine really tie it all together.

I would love to know your thoughts. Please let me know what you think of this kit and my April 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives.

  2. I just love a slimline card! This one is just beautiful! Obviously you had to run it thru an embossing folder TWICE to accommodate the length…but it looks so perfect! Any tips or tricks to make it ?!

    • Thank you Beth! The trick to embossing a larger piece of cardstock is to not run it all the way through the machine. Place your plate up to the edge of the folder, then run it up to the edge without running it through. Repeat the process for the opposite side. You may get a small line, but you won’t have the same hard edge that you would get if you ran the plate all the way through. Hope this helps.😀
