Happy Thursday! It’s a beautiful day, so I felt that some beautiful flowers were in order. My Bloom & Grow thank you card is showcasing some bright Calypso Coral Flowers paired with the new Just Jade In Color.
Don’t you just love this color combo? Calypso Coral is one of my favorites, and the new Just Jade is a perfect compliment.
In addition to the beautiful color palette and the rounded corners, this card is actually pretty easy to make. Even though it is easy, it does require a good bit of fussy cutting.
Begin by stamping and coloring a mirrored image of the flower spray from the Bloom & Grow stamp set. After that is done, cut the inside of that image out using your Paper Snips.
Next, adhere a piece of Basic Black to the back of the image. Once that is done, you guessed it, more fussy cutting. Flip the image over and cut the middle out to outline the image. This will give it a nice layering effect.
The rest is easy. Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhere to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Then, adhere the piece to a Just Jade card base. Attach the layered flower-colored piece on top of the sentiment piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The last piece is to add the finishing touches. Color a piece of the new Faux Linen Whisper White ribbon using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. The ribbon absorbs the ink quite nicely and dries rather fast. Finish by making a bow, and adhere it to your card with a glue dot.
