Christmas Classics in Untraditional Colors

Today, I have the stamp bundle Christmas Classics in Untraditional colors.

Christmas Classics in Untraditional Colors - main photo

This is a pretty classic stamp bundle and would look fabulous when done in Green and Red. However, when I set out to do these projects for my Artisan Design Team assignment, I wasn’t able to use the coordinating paper.

The coordinating paper is called Joy of Christmas and primarily consists of greens and reds. Knowing that I couldn’t use it, I decided to go completely out of the box and not use the colors in the paper either.

Instead, I chose to use the All About Autumn DSP. It has been on backorder, but is due to be back in stock next week. I figured it was the perfect time to share these projects made with it.

All About Autumn DSP

The first card is a slimline with a Basic White Thick cardstock base. I adhered one of the Moody Mauve and Pretty Peacock pieces of the All About Autumn DSP to it.

Once that was adhered, I cropped some frames in Soft Shimmer Paper, some leaves in Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP, and a floral label and two holly leaves in Mossy Meadow cardstock.

The sentiments were embossed in Copper and the cropped leaves were adhered to them. Once that was done, they went on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To give the card a little bling, I attached a Sweet Sorbet bow and some Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots and Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots as shown.

The second card

For the second card, I started with a card base in Moody Mauve and adhered a Snowflake Sky-embossed piece of Basic White cardstock.

Leaves in Mossy Meadow and Oxidized Copper were cropped out, as well as a piece of All About Autumn DSP. For the DSP, I used the negative space of the die cut, instead of using the leaves.

The sentiment was embossed in Copper and there is a small strip of Moody Mauve ribbon underneath it.

To give this card a little embellishing, I placed some Blooming Pearls on it.

These two cards have a PDF tutorial that goes with them, and you can download it below. There are more detailed steps, and corresponding pictures, on it.
