Country Birdhouse Ornaments

I have a fun ornament for you today and it is made with the Country Birdhouse bundle.

If I sent you a catalog, then I know you have already seen the ornament, but I want to share how I made them. I say them, because I didn’t make just one, I actually made a lot and they’re all in the new In Colors!

The secret to making all of them for me, was my new Brother Scan and Cut machine. I simply stamped and colored my images, ran it through my machine, and it cut them all out. What a time saver!!

Of course, if I were making just one or two, I would use the dies that coordinate with the set.

You can find this cute set on page 50 of the 2024-2025 annual catalog.

To make the ornament

  • Crop the following with your cut & emboss machine and the Country Birdhouse dies; a birdhouse and small piece of trim in Sumer Splash, a birdhouse in the Summer Splash In Color DSP, a piece of large trim, bottom ledge, and perch in Country Woods DSP, and detailed trim piece in Basic Beige.
  • With the smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies, crop a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Adhere the DSP birdhouse to the Summer Splash birdhouse and attach the other die cuts as shown.

Time to stamp

  • Stamp a bird, a single flower, and a group of flowers on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink.
  • Color the images with the following Stampin’ Blends; Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly, Mossy Meadow, Peach Pie, Pecan Pie, Petunia Pop, and Pretty in Pink.
  • Crop your images and adhere the single flower to the left side of the birdhouse using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Attach the two remaining images to the birdhouse using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Punch a hole in the top center of the birdhouse with a hole punch. (There are no hole punches available through Stampin’ Up! I used an old retired crop-a-dial to make mine)
  • String a 9” piece of Summer Splash ribbon through the hole, tie a knot, and trim the ends.

  1. These are so beautiful. I wish I could figure out how to use my Brother Scan and Cut machine as I would do this for my classes. Thanks for sharing.
