Crafting With You Sketch Challenge for #TGIFC468

Happy Friday!! Today’s card is made with the stamp bundle Crafting With You, for #TGIFC468 sketch challenge.

I had a lot of fun with this sketch challenge. I have been wanting to use the Crafting With You stamp set for some time, and I finally got my chance. The six little baskets fit perfectly to mimic the hearts in the sketch!

It was perfect timing too. A neighbor of mine is an embroidery enthusiast and did some embroidery work for me, so I wanted to make her an appropriate card. Using the sentiment, you “made” my day is the perfect sentiment too! It is from the stamp set Cheerful Daisies.

I also wanted to give the 2022-2024 In Colors one last hurrah. The bright and cheery colors are retiring on April 30th and I am going to miss them.

To make the card

• Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Starry Sky cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
• Sandwich a 4” x 2 1/2” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Basics 3D embossing folder and run through your cut & emboss machine,
• Adhere the embossed piece to the top half of your card base, and a 4” x 2 3/4” piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to the bottom half, ensuring even spacing around the edges.

• On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the following; a sewing machine in Basic Gray, six baskets in Crumb Cake, a pile of yarn in Starry Sky, and a pile of yarn in Sweet Sorbet ink.
• Crop your images, as well as the following with the dies; a pair of scissors in Basic Black, a pair of scissors in Silver Foil, two hearts , a button, and three things of thread in Sweet Sorbet, an embroidery hoop and nine thread spools in Crumb Cake, the inner circle of the embroidery hoop, a button, and one thing of thread in Orchid Oasis, two buttons and two things of thread in Tahitian Tide, and one button and two things of thread in Parakeet Party. (the hoop and inner circle colors are incorrect in the picture below.)

• Cut the scissors of the Silver Foil pieces on the line and adhere the ends to the black pieces. Then, adhere the thread to the spools using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

• Adhere the scissors together and all the spools of thread, buttons, and yarn to the baskets as shown.

• Attach the baskets to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Time for the sentiment

• Stamp your sentiment (from Cheerful Daisies stamp set) on a 3/8” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock using Starry Sky ink.
• Adhere the yardstick to the top-right side of the sentiment and adhere to the card.

• Apply some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the hoop and inner circle and adhere to the card.

• Adhere the scissors and attach the sewing machine and hearts with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Attach three 2022-2023 In Color Pearls as shown.
