Dragonfly Garden Thank You

The Dragonfly Garden Thank You card is an easy card to make. If you can color, then this is the card for you.

Have you ever made your own designer series paper (DSP)? It’s relatively easy and today’s card is going to show you how to do it.

Since the focus for today’s card is coloring, you’ll need to get out your Stampin’ Blends. The following colors will be needed:

To make the card

• Begin with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, score and fold at 5 1/2″ to form your card base.
• Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the flowers all around the outside edge using Tuxedo Memento black ink. (Hint- be sure to place a scrap piece of paper under your cardstock to protect your surface from the ink.)

• Color the flowers with the following Stampin’ Blends: Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive.

• Adhere the Basic White piece to the card using Stampin’ SEAL.

• Cut two pieces of Misty Moonlight cardstock; one measuring 3″ x 3 1/2″ and one measuring 7/8″ x 4″.
• Stamp your sentiment on a 3/4″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink.
• Adhere a 2 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Beauty of the Earth designer series paper (DSP) to the large piece and the sentiment to the smaller piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock.
• Slightly layer and adhere the sentiment piece to the larger piece using Stampin’ SEAL and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Stamp two dragonflies on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Memento black ink.
• Color the dragonflies with Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and punch out with the Dragonflies Punch.
• Adhere a small strip of Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of the dragonflies and attach to the card.

• Attach five Rhinestone Basic Jewels as shown.
• Add a little shimmer by applying some Wink of Stella to the dragonflies’ wings.
