I have a Triangle Joy Fun Fold card for you today for the Pals Fun Fold Blog Hop. It’s a cute little fold that is easy to make.
I just adore this little bunny, and with Easter around the corner, had to use him. Pairing him with the Symbols of Fortune Specialty designer series paper (DSP) gives the card a nice springy look.
Since the bunny is considered a “critter”, I am also submitting this card to Crazy Critter Challenges this week.
I found this fun fold on La-La Land Crafts, but changed it up a bit to accommodate the bunny.
Now, on to the card.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, score at 4 1/4″. Turn the cardstock 45 degrees on your Paper Trimmer and cut from the fold line (4 1/4″ mark) to the corner to form your card base.
- Cut two pieces of Symbols of Fortune Specialty designer series paper (DSP); one measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the other 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
- Place the 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece in your Paper Trimmer and cut diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right corner to form a triangle.
- Adhere both sheets of DSP to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (MLG).
- On a 3″ x 4″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock, stamp your sentiment in Soft Succulent ink and your bunny in Crumb Cake ink.
- Using your Water Painter, color over the bunny, softening the harsh lines. (hint- while coloring over the bunny make sure to go over the solid white parts of him too. It will just slightly show but will help blend his coat.
- Lay a 18″ piece of White Baker’s Twine on a piece of scrap paper and color with your Calypso Coral Light Stampin’ Blend.
- Wrap the twine around your stamped image piece (in between the bunny and sentiment), tie a bow, and trim the ends.
Create the inner card
- Cut a 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″.
- Adhere the bunny image to the outside of the folded cardstock using MLG.
- Stamp your inside sentiment on a 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and adhere to the inside of the folded cardstock.
- Adhere the folded cardstock to the inside of the card base using MLG. (hint- be sure to place it in the center so that it will fold correctly.)
- Close the card by opening the piece with the bunny, closing the front triangle, then closing the bunny piece.
- Attach three Genial Gems as shown.
