February 2023 Artisan Design Team Project – Fancy Flora Suite

Happy Saturday, today I am sharing my February 2023 Artisan Design Team Project. It is made with the Fancy Flora Suite , my favorite from the new mini catalog.

Each month the Artisan Design Team members get assigned a project to highlight various products from the catalog. This month, my assigngment was to make two projects using the supplies from the Fancy Flora suite.

It is a gorgeous suite, and you can find it on pages 14-17 of the Jan-Apr 2023 mini catalog.

For my first project, I created a treat bag filled with some salt water taffy. I started with one of the white Peekaboo Treat Bags from the annual catalog. They are just darling, measuring in at 3″ x 4″. Then I added a couple of pieces of the gorgeous designer series paper (DSP), one at the top an one at the bottom.

Next, I stamped some flowers on Vellum, cut them, and some coordinating backgrounds, out with the Two-Tone Flora dies. I colored the backside of the Vellum with my Stampin’ Blends and attached them to the solid die cuts with a Glue Dot. The leaves and sentiment were embossed with some Gold Embossing Powder, and Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals held them all together when placing them on the front of the bag.

After that was done, I created a multi-layered bow to attach to the top of the bag. It was made by wrapping 25″ of the Pool Party ribbon around my fingers and tying a 6″ piece around the middle of it. The layers were then spread out, ends were trimmed, and it was attached to the bag with several Glue Dots.

The second project

The second project is a beautiful beginnings card.

This beauty really shows off the detailed floral die. It, and the piece underneath it is made with the Fine Shimmer Paper. After attaching it to a Pool Party card base, I made the flowers and leaves. They were created the same way as the ones for the treat bag.

For the sentiment, I made a tag with the Something Fancy dies. It has a small piece of Pool Party ribbon through it, tied off with a piece of gold Simply Elegant Trim.

Both of the projects were finished off by adding a few Iridescent Pastel Gems and some Wink of Stella for some bling.
