Flowering Tulips Thank You

I have a cheery, Flowering Tulips Thank You card for you today. It’s pretty easy to make and the colors are sure to make someone’s day.

If you have been following me long enough, you know that I love Poppy Parade! The bright color just brings an instant smile to my face, so I love making cards with it.

This time, I have paired it with some pink and green to give it a nice spring feel.

To make the card

• Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 12″ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
• Lay a 2 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock on a scrap piece of paper and stamp your tulips with the following colors: Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, and Tuxedo Memento black. Do this by stamping the inner flowers first, followed by the outer flowers, then the stems and leaves, and lastly the flower centers.     

• Sandwich a 1 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock in the Greenery embossing folder and run through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. (hint- the cardstock is wider than the embossing folder, so you will have to run it through your machine twice. Just be gentle with it, because you will have to turn the embossing folder sideways to run it through the second time.)            

• Adhere the stamped tulips piece to the top section of a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the embossed piece to the bottom section using Stampin’ SEAL.    

Time to assemble

• Wrap an 8” piece of Fine Art Gallery ribbon around the piece (over the seam where the two pieces come together), secure the ends with adhesive, and adhere to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  

• Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Poppy Parade ink.
• Crop your sentiment with the 3rd smallest circle, and a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock with the 4th smallest circle, from the Layering Circles dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
• Layer and adhere the two circles together and attach them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.     

• Thread a small piece of ribbon under the ribbon on the card, tie a knot, and trim the ends with your Paper Snips.  

• Attach three Brushed Brass Butterflies as shown.
