Happy Birthday with Art Gallery for GDP273

I’m excited to share my Happy Birthday with Art Gallery card with you today. I just love this suite and knew right away that it would work for this week’s Global Design Project.

The Global Design Project has a color theme challenge this week and the colors make a great combination.

I am also playing along with the Paper Players for this one. Their challenge is to use something new for your project. Since this is my first card with this gorgeous new set, it qualifies.

To make this card

• Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy card stock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
• Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Petal Pink card stock to the card base using Stampin’ SEAL.
• Cut a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Fine Art Floral designer series paper (DSP) and adhere to the card.
• Layer a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Night of Navy (Neutrals) DSP over a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Soft Sea Foam (Subtles) DSP, offset a little, and adhere to the card.
• Stamp the flower on a piece of Basic White card stock using Petal Pink ink and prepare to heat emboss.
• Dust the flower with your embossing buddy (retired), stamp the inner flower using Versamark ink and dust with some Heat & Stick Powder. Use your Heat Tool to melt the powder and press some Gilded Leafing Embellishment into your image. Brush off any excess Gilded Leafing and set aside.
• Stamp the leaves on a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock using Soft Sea Foam ink and stamp the sentiment on a piece of Petal Pink card stock using Night of Navy ink.
• Using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, crop out the flower, leaves, and sentiment using the Floral Gallery dies.
• Adhere the stem to the flower and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Add some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhere to the card.
• Attach three Elegant Faceted Gems as shown.
