Legendary Ride Made Three Different Ways

I have three different cards made with the Legendary Ride stamp set for you today.

Legendary Ride Made Three Different Ways

These three cards were for my April monthly project for the Artisan Design Team. Our group was challenged by making these fun cards to help inspire you, and a couple of them needed to be a little more feminine. I was lucky enough to be one of those that got to make a more feminine card, so I decided to add flowers to my project.

These are not just any old flowers. They are made with parts from the motorcycle! I die cut fourteen motorcycle wheels out of the Ready to Ride DSP and formed two flowers with them. Each flower has a circle on the bottom (for the “petals” to adhere to, and the other six have two sides folded in to form a petal.

To make the colored embellishments, I simply colored some of the Adhesive-Backed Studs with my Stampin’ Blends.

For my second card, I wanted a more “vintage” feel for the motorcycle. The brand, Indian Motorcycle, makes a model called the Scout, and it was the perfect choice to copy. I think it looks vintage and it’s even turquoise and white.

My final card is highlighting some of the DSP. I like the black and vanilla desert paper so I chose to use that. By adding the circle shapes (again, form the motorcycle wheels) I was able to give it a nice balance and compliment the colors with the other two cards.

Overall, I enjoyed creating these motorcycle cards. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about making them, but a little trip to the local Harley Davidson store gave me the inspiration that I needed. This T-shirt was the foundation for my color palette.

The Legendary Ride stamp set and dies are carrying over into the new catalog, but the DSP is not. It will be retiring next week, and will no longer be available. Now’s the time to get it if you want it, because it’s even on sale!
