The title says it all…Life is better with a Freezin’ Fun Friendship! Spending time with friends and having fun together is not something that too many of us are able to do right now. So, hopefully this card will lift your spirits and remind you of the times you did spend with your friends having fun.
These little penguins are so cute!! They look like they are really enjoying their snowball fight. In fact, they make me want to get in there and join them.
Since that is not possible, I will just revel in how easy they are to create. If you can color and use a die cutting machine, then this is the card for you.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. Score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Layer and adhere a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP on to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock. Adhere to the card.
- Stamp two penguins, three small trees, a snowboard, a pile of snowballs, and a 3-stamped image of snowballs on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Tuxedo Memento black ink.
- Color the penguins with Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Misty Moonlight and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends. Next, color the trees with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends, and the snowboard with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends.
- Cut a 5 1/4″ x 7″ piece of Whisper White card stock and crop three snow layers, as well as all of the stamped images with the Freezin’ Friends dies.
- Using a sponge dauber, lightly color the edges of the snow layers with Balmy Blue ink. Adhere the largest layer to the card.
- Adhere one of the penguins to the snow and layer in the top right (with his head on the DSP layer). Next, adhere the second layer of snow on top (covering the lower portion of the penguin). Lastly, adhere the smaller snow layer on top.
- Take one of the trees and adhere it to the top left portion of the snow using Stampin’ SEAL and adhere the other two as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut a 3/4″ x 2 5/8″ piece of Whisper White card stock, a 1″ x 2 7/8″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock, and punch both ends of each with the Banners Pick a Punch.
- Stamp your sentiment on the Whisper White tag using Misty Moonlight ink, adhere it to the Misty Moonlight tag, and attach to the lower right corner of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the second penguin to the snowboard and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Finish by adhering all the snowballs to the card as shown.
Pretty easy right? I would love to hear from you. Please let me know what you think of the Freezin’ Fun Friendship project.
