The February 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives are a sweet trio of cards. They are from the kit titled Bouquet of Hope.
The kit was designed to provide a way to offer comfort, care, and condolences to those enduring life’s challenges. However, I have found that the flowers are rather cheery, so two of the alternatives can be used for more cheerful occasions.
The first alternative
The first alternative is my favorite. It’s so vibrant and cheery, and the Bumblebee ribbon ties the yellows together perfectly!!
The addition of the Basic Black layer really helps the sentiment stand out too!
The second alternative
The second alternative is sweet and simple. Having a Basic White card base and a layer of Gold Foil keeps it a classic.
And as always, the Stampin’ Blends really make the flowers come to life!
The last alternative
The last alternative stays true to the kit. It is a sympathy card that anyone would appreciate. The gold foil vellum adds a nice elegance and the simple sentiment says it all.
The vellum is a little warped in the photo because I used Multipurpose Glue. When the glue dried, it buckled the paper a bit. So, learn from my mistake. Use your Stampin’ SEAL on vellum and your card will turn out even more beautiful!!
I would love to hear from you. Please let me know what you think of the February 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives.

How do you mask the flowers?
Hi Terry. Great question. To make a mask, stamp the image on a post it note, being sure that a portion of the image is stamped where the sticky part is underneath, and cut out with your Paper Snips. Once I had my mask made, I placed it over one set of stamped flowers, inked around that mask, moved the flower mask over, and repeated until the entire row was completed. I hope this helps. 🙂
