Say hello to my March 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives! I haven’t done any alternatives for a while, so it’s time to bring them back.

Well, the proverbial cat has been let out of the bag. Yesterday Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up! CEO, announced that this year’s Artisan Design Team would be featuring alternatives for their Paper Pumpkin kits each month.
Six of us North American Artisans will be designing the alternatives, three of which will be marketed by Stampin’ Up! each month on their social media sites.
This month marks the first of the alternatives, and it starts with their Ten Years of Growth kit. It is a celebratory kit marking the ten year anniversary of Paper Pumpkin, and I am honored to start this new adventure off.
Here is a video, from yesterday’s announcement on Facebook, with Sara showing off our alternatives.
This kit comes with not one, but two stamp sets too! It’s double the fun!!
It is a pretty floral kit consisting of these fun colors.
The first alternative
The first alternative is the easiest to put together. The only stamping that is required is the sentiment and the pink floral spray.

It came together by cutting a portion of the envelope, a section of the bookcase from another card, and the die cut elements in the kit.

The second alternative
The second alternative is a little more labor intensive. Rather than it being a card, I turned it into a gift by making it a holder for a package of flower seeds.

A little creativity, a ruler, some scoring, and a pair of Paper Snips turn one of the cards into a holder with ease. After forming the holder, all that was left was to decorate it with some die cuts from the kit. Add an embossed sentiment and tuck a package of seeds in it, and it is good to go.

The last alternative
The last alternative utilizes the extra stamp set in the kit. It requires a lot of coloring, but I think the end result is well worth it.

Again, using the die cuts from the kit, and adding some pops of gold really make this card a stand out.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these alternatives as much as I have had making them. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment. What are your thoughts on the March 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives and are you happy to see them again?
