May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I have three May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives for you today.

The May kit is pretty and shows off the new 2023-2025 In Colors quite well. I am in love with these color too, well except for maybe Wild Wheat. I’m sure I will have a change of heart once fall rolls around though.

So I found this kit to be a little challenging for making alternatives. Each card already has a pretty printed scene on it, so I had to either add to the scene or cut the cards up. For these alternatives, I did both!

The first alternative

For the first alternative, I have only used what is available in the kit. One of the scenic cards was cut into tiny strips and made into a label.

The label sits on top of one of the other scenic cards and some of the kits die cuts are attached on top.

The second alternative

The second alternative incorporates the Grassy Grove stamp set and dies with an add-on card. There are a couple of deer and a set of trees amongst the scenic background.

To add a little texture, a piece of Wild Wheat Jute twine was wrapped around one of the kit’s labels.

The last alternative

The last alternative is a card from a card in the kit. I have made it into a 3D sour cream container that contains a nice snack bar.

The front was adorned with die cuts from the kit and the top was tied with a piece of Copper Clay Jute twine.

All in all, I managed to transform the kit’s cards a little. The beautiful scenery is still showing in all the projects too!
