Merry Christmas with Ringed with Nature

I have another Christmas card for you today and it’s featuring the stamp set Ringed with Nature. It is the 10th card in my 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

Ringed with Nature is one of those sets that can be used for more than one occasion. The house and sentiments can have many different combinations and Christmas is one of them. To make it a Holiday card, I kept the color palette in the classic red and green colors with a little added brown.

To make the card

• Begin with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock, score and fold at 4 ¼” to form your card base.
• Adhere a 2 ¼” x 4 ¾” piece of 2021-2023 In Color designer series paper (DSP) to a  3” x 5 ¼” piece of Painted Christmas DSP using Stampin’ SEAL. Be sure to line them up so that the total width of the two pieces combined is 4” and the smaller piece of DSP is centered on the larger piece.

• Wrap a 6” piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave ribbon around the two pieces of DSP, secure the ends with adhesive, and adhere to the card base using Stampin’ SEAL.

•  Stamp your house on a 2 ¼” x 3 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock using Sahara Sand and Early Espresso ink and your poinsettia on another piece of Basic White cardstock using Real Red and Early Espresso ink. Then, fussy cut your poinsettia. (fussy cut means to cut out with your Paper Snips)

• Using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, crop three small leaf bunches in Soft Succulent and three larger leaf bunches in Soft Suede cardstock with the Tree Rings dies.

Time to assemble

• Apply a small amount of Stampin’ Seal to the upper-left and lower-right corner of the piece with the house, lay on top of the card (do not adhere) and adhere the leaf bunches as shown below. (hint- doing it this way will make sure that the leaf bunches will fit on the card when you do adhere it.)

• Flip the Basic White piece, with attached leaf bunches over, apply Stampin’ Dimensionals, and attach to the card. Then, adhere the poinsettia to the lower-right corner, over the leaf bunches, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Punch the ends of a 5/8” x 4 ¼” piece of Real Red cardstock using the Banners Pick a Punch.
• Stamp your sentiment on the label, off-center to the left, using Early Espresso ink.

• Adhere the sentiment to the card using two Stampin’ Dimensionals, one on each end. (hint- since the house is already adhered with Stampin’ Dimensions, applying just two to the outside will ensure that it’s at the same height as the house.)

• Attach three 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds as shown.
• For a little shimmer, add some Wink of Stella to the center of the poinsettia.
