Lovely & Sweet for a Stampin’ Fancy Friday Sketch Challenge

For this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday sketch challenge, I have made a sympathy card with the Lovely & Sweet stamp bundle.

Lovely & Sweet for a Stampin' Fancy Friday Sketch Challenge - main photo

I love doing sketch challenges because the layout is already done for me, all I had to do was add my own touches. To achieve that I created my base layers with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, and the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty paper.

Next, the focal point was made by stamping the floral image (from the Lovely & Sweet bundle) in Craft white ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. I then colored it with Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly, and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.

Gold Foil die cuts from the Notes of Nature dies, some Gold Faux Leather Trim, and some Brushed Metallic Dots tie it all together to create a cohesive look.

Want to make it? Here are the supplies that you will need.

Last Chance for Retiring Stamps, Paper, Etc…

With every new catalog launch, we sadly have to say goodbye to some of our current stamps and paper.

Starting April 9th, some of the items on the last chance list will be up to 60% off. The dies that I used, Notes of Nature, is on that list. They are not discounted, but are fun to have. The ribbon and the embellishments are on the list too. The ribbon is not discounted either, but the embellishments are 20% off.

There are actually two retiring lists. One list is for the retiring items in the 2023-2024 annual catalog and the other the Jan-Apr 2024 mini catalog. Click on the buttons below to download the lists.

  1. Beautiful and very appropriate sympathy card, Melissa. Thank you so much for sharing and providing such detail explanations on making it. It looks like you use a notebook for your sketches.

    • Thank you so much Sue! I am always happy to share with you. As far as the sketch, I wish I was that organized, but it was done by Stampin’ Fancy Friday. I have sketches on sticky notes and scratch pieces of paper, they’re a hot mess.😂
