Happy Friday! I have a masculine birthday card for you today, made with the Notes of Spring stamp set.
This stamp set is the March product of the month, and it is oh, so cute! Instead of making a soft-spring themed card, I decided to pair the adorable duck with a dark, masculine palette. It was an unexpected twist, and the blue and yellow work really well together. I hope it inspires you to create something with this set.
To make this card, I started by adhering a piece of Basic White Cardstock on top of a Secret Sea card base. Then, I colored another piece of Basic White Cardstock with my Water Painter and some Secret Sea ink. Once it was dry, I distressed the edges with my Bone Folder and attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I placed a torn piece of the Boho Vibes DSP on it and topped it with a torn piece of Secret Sea cardstock.
I stamped some grass on a piece of Cloud Cover Cardstock with some Cloud Cover and Secret Sea (stamped off) ink and fussy cut around them. They were then adhered to the card and a double bow in Linen Thread was attached on top with a Mini Glue Dot.
On a piece of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the duck in Daffodil Delight ink and the sentient in Secret Sea ink. The duck was fussy cut, and I punched the end of the sentiment with the Happy Labels Pick a Punch. The two were adhered together and attached to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card, I placed three Faux Bronze Pentagons on it.
