When you need to say thanks, the Pansy Patch Thank You Card will do. It is easy to make and the shiny vellum makes it sparkle.
I’m sure you have already heard me say by now, but I love the Pansy Petals suite. The colors in the designer series paper (DSP) are so cheery and vibrant and the dies make for an easy flower.
And, if you haven’t heard, the DSP is on sale right now. It, along with eight other packs of paper are 15% off through August 2nd.
Now, on to making the gorgeous pansy card.
To make the card
- Begin with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock, score and fold at 5 /2″ to form your card base.
- Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Pansy Petals designer series paper (DSP) to your card base using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Sandwich a 1″ x 4″ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock in the Tasteful Textile embossing folder, run through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, and adhere to the card (just above the middle) using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Crop a Basic White rectangle with the 4th largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Stamp the sentiment on the bottom portion of the rectangle using Polished Pink ink. Adhere to the card (centered, to the right side) using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, crop out two each of the following from the Pansy dies: large pansy (including single petal) in Shimmery White, large pansy outline in Polished Pink, center detail in Melon Mambo, center in Bumblebee, large and small leaf background in Soft Succulent in 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum, and large and small detailed leaf in Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum.
Time to make the pansies
- Color the Basic White pansy petals using Polished Pink ink and your Water Painters.
- Layer and adhere the pansies and leaves together using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Do this by laying the pieces upside down on your Silicone Craft Sheet, add some glue to the sheet (up in the corner and out of the way), dab a sponge into the glue, and lightly tap some glue on to the petal pieces. (Hint- this will ensure that your small pieces have glue on them, and you will not have to worry about globs of glue oozing out from your layers.) Once the glue is dry on your sheet, simply rub it off with your hand.
- Layer and adhere the flowers together and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach three Playing with Patterns Resin dots as shown.
Don’t you just love the shiny vellum? Here is a close up of it.

Oh my goodness….there is a pdf. I just found it. too early and not enough coffee for me. thanks.
Thank you Peggy. I’m so glad that you like it and that you found the PDF. The vellum really is pretty, so I’m glad that you are adding it to your list. Have fun with your new goodies! 🙂
Beautiful card. I’ll have to add it to my list of cards to make once my order arrives. I didn’t purchase the Vellum, but now might have to go back and do so. I wish this was a pdf so I could easily download it, but I can cut and paste the instructions and pictures into a word document. thank you.
