Prized Peony Birthday Wishes Card

Today’s Prized Peony Birthday Wishes Card is highlighting the stamp set Prized Peony. It is a favorite flower of mine and the purple peony is the star of the show in this card.

Making the Card

I am in awe with this card! I really wasn’t sure what the result would be, but I knew that I wanted to make a purple peony. By playing with a few shades of Stampin’ Blends, I discovered that Purple Posy and Highland Heather make a great combination. Adding a little Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems provides great contrast as well.

Once I chose my color palette, the rest came together pretty easily. To create the purple and green designer series paper, all you need is your blends! The designer series paper is the Peony Garden designer series paper. It is a gray and white design that can easily match your design with some coloring, and in this case, green and purple.

Next, the Greenery embossing folder creates just the right amount of texture to help highlight the peony.

Lastly, adding finishing touches brings everything together. A beautiful label from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch creates a beautiful sentiment and the Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack makes a beautiful double bow.
