Sneak Peek of Doggone Friendly

Today I have a sneak peek of the Doggone Friendly stamp set on a card that is a CASE.

First I want to tell you about the design of this card. It isn’t my design, it is a CASE of my fellow Artisan, Sandra Herzog from Austria. She originally designed this card back in June and I just loved the little bunny that she used. I also like that she used a treat bag as the background.

I am CASEing her card because we are having an instahop (on Instagram) today revealing our secret Santa. We drew names of the 2023 Artisans and our aim was to CASE one of their cards as an ode to our Artisan term coming to an end, and of course, for Holiday spirit. I chose Sandra, and here is her adorable card.

I don’t have the little bunny, but when I received my pre-order for the upcoming mini catalog, I just knew that I had to use these dogs.

This dog stamp is called Doggone Friendly and will be available to order on January 4th. It is one large stamp, but as you can see, you don’t have to use it that way. I chose five dogs that I felt comfortable coloring and fussy cut them out.

Now, on to the card.

• Begin with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, score and fold at 4 ¼” to form your card base.
• Cut one of the 2023-2025 In Color Treat Bags to measure 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” and adhere it to a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Boho Blue cardstock.
• Tear both sides of a 1 ½” x 4” piece of Boho Blue cardstock and adhere it to a 3” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock.

• Lay the white piece on top of the treat bag (do not adhere) and flick some Boho Blue ink on top with your Boho Blue Stampin’ Write Marker. Do this by removing your cap from the Stampin’ Write marker and keeping it in your non-dominant hand, about 1 1/2″ above where you want it. With the marker in your dominant hand, insert the tip of the marker (just a small bit) into the cap and flip it against the inside edge of the cap.

• Punch two large hearts in Crumb Cake cardstock using the Bee Builder punch. Adhere each heart to a ¾” x 2” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to form two bone ends. Adhere the two bone ends to the card.

• Wrap a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine around the ripped blue piece twice. Tie a bow, and then adhere it to the card.

Time to stamp

• Stamp the Doggone Friendly stamp on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink. Then, color the dogs with your Stampin’ Blends. (see the supply list at the end to see what colors I used)

• Fussy cut the dogs and adhere them to the card. (hint- use Dimensionals for the dogs that are laying on top of the twine.)

• Stamp your sentiment (from the Curved Occasions stamp set) on a ½” strip of Crumb Cake using Memento black ink.

• Trim the ends of your sentiment diagonally and adhere to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• Attach three 2023-2025 In Color Dots as shown.
