Who doesn’t love Ghirardelli candy? With the Snowman Season Ghirardelli Mini Candy Holder Card you can say hello and give a treat.
These Ghirardelli mini candy holder cards were a lot of fun to make. I wanted to make some Holiday cards and give a small treat, so I combined them. The card functions as a regular card and the front got an added-on treat holder. It’s a win-win!
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper (DSP) to the card base using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Crop a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock with the large label, from the Seasonal Labels dies, and two snowflakes in Basic White cardstock, from the Gingerbread dies, using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Stamp your sentiment on the upper-right side of the label using Versamark ink. Quickly dust it with White Embossing Powder, shake off the excess, and set with your Heat Tool.
- Adhere the label to the middle of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut two more pieces of Heartwarming Hugs DSP measuring 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
- Score the smaller one (1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″) one inch from the end. On the opposite end, punch it with the Delightful Tag Topper punch.
- On the larger piece of DSP (2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″), score at 1 1/2″ and 3″. Then with a ruler, make a small pencil mark at 1 1/4″ and 3 1/4″.
- Place the DSP on your Paper Trimmer diagonally with the mark at the top and the corner at the bottom and cut. Repeat on the other side; cut from the mark to the corner.
Making it all come together
- Place your angle-cornered piece on top of the punched DSP piece and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. (hint- the bottom edge of the top piece should line up with the score line on the bottom piece and spaced evenly between the two scored lines on the sides.)
- Fold the small piece (from the bottom piece) up, add a small amount of Multipurpose Glue to the top, and fold one of the triangle sides over it. Repeat for the other side by adding a little Multipurpose Glue and folding the other side over.
- Fold a 5″ piece of white Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon in two and thread through the hole of the treat holder. Then, thread the ends of the ribbon through the loop to attach.
- Apply two strips of Tear & Tape to the back of your treat holder, place the candy in it (it will be a snug fit), and attach it to the label on the card.
- Attach the two snowflakes to the card using a Glue Dot.
- Trim the excess ribbon using your Paper Snips and attach three Classic Matte Dots (available 1/4/22) as shown.

thanks for the deal
chatleureusement F
You are very welcome!!
This is so cute. Does it work for other candies
Thank you Kaye! I’m not sure if it would. You would have to do a “trial and error” to see. I specifically designed it for the little snowmen, but if you find a candy that is similar in size, you might get it to fit.
I love this. I can’t believe there are so many ways to use this card stock and DSP.
Thank you Brenda! The cardstock is very versatile and has been a go-to of mine this season.
Thank you and I can’t wait to try and make some of these. Also my favorite choclates. Merry Christmas
You are so welcome Jo! I hope you have a Merry Christmas too!!
