Eight little words that no one wants to say; sorry for the loss of your dog. Losing a pet is never easy yet it is something that many of us have gone through. With the help of the Dog Punch, you can send condolences that are not only thoughtful, but beautiful as well.
This heartfelt card is made in the soft subtle colors, Petal Pink and Gray Granite. They go beautifully together and the Peony Garden designer series paper (DSP) makes it easy.
The other main items needed to make this card are the Dog Builder punch, Sprig punch, and Be Mine Stitched dies.
To make this card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Gray Granite card stock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Adhere a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Petal Pink card stock to the card base using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Stamp your sentiment on the top left of a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Peony Garden designer series paper (DSP) in Basic Gray ink and adhere to the card using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Using the Sprig Punch, punch out three Gray Granite sprigs, two Petal Pink sprigs, and two Vellum sprigs.
- Crop out the largest heart in Petal Pink with the Be Mine Stitched dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Trim a small portion off the bottom and right side of the heart using your Paper Trimmer.
- Arrange the punched-out sprigs in the lower right portion of the card and adhere in place using Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the ends that will be covered by the heart. (hint- lay the cropped-out heart on top of the card (do not adhere) to help determine the placement of the sprigs).
- Adhere two In Good Taste Elements on top of the sprigs using Glue Dots.
- Attach the heart to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals, being sure to line the edges with the edge of the Peony Garden DSP.
- Punch out a dog in Gray Granite using the Dog Builder Punch and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- FOR AN ADDED TOUCH: Add a piece of matching Peony Garden designer series paper (DSP) to the envelope flap. Glue a 2 1/2″ x 6″ piece to the outside of the envelope and trim off the excess with your Paper Snips.
