Stippled Roses in Calypso Coral and OnStage Friendships

Happy Thursday! Today I have a card made with Stippled Roses in Calypso Coral.

Stippled Roses in Calypso Coral

I had originally made this card for a TGIF challenge and was supposed to post it last week. However, since I was too busy preparing for and attending Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Houston, I wasn’t able to get it done. So, I am sharing it today.😀

Before I get into the details of the card, I wanted to share a little bit about OnStage. You may already know about it, but if you don’t, it is Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention.

Demonstrators get together to learn what’s new with Stampin’ Up!, play with new products, watch demonstrations, and get recognized for their yearly achievements. In addition, (and the best part) is that we get to see old friends as well as make new ones. And that, I did!

This group of friends are all Stampin’ Up! Artisans. There were three of us from last year (2023) present, some current ones, and ones from year’s past.

Another group of friends that I got to have a lot of fun with is the Pals, Mary Fish’s group. We had a lot of fun and they are a great bunch of friends.

There were many others, but I didn’t get pictures of everyone. It was such a wonderful time and I am already looking forward to next year’s gathering. Now, on to the card.

To make this card

  • Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form you card base.
  • Adhere a 3 1/2” x 5 1/2” piece of Calypso Coral cardstock to the card, ensuring even spacing at the top and bottom.
  • Apply some Smoky Slate ink to the left side (the side with the SU logo) of the Stripes & Splatters embossing folder using the Stampin’ Brayer. Lay a 3 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Basic White on top of the ink, close the folder, and run through your cut & emboss machine.
  • Adhere the embossed piece to the card.

  • Apply a small strip of Stampin’ SEAL to the lower-middle of the card. Then, gather a 26” piece of Parakeet Party Metallic ribbon in your hand and adhere it to the card.

Time to stamp

  • Stamp the roses on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink. Color them with your Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
  • Crop the roses out with the dies and adhere to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Stamp your sentiment on a 3/8” x 3” piece of Calypso Coral cardstock using Memento black ink.
  • Trim the sentiment diagonally with your Paper Snips and attach it to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals,
  • Attach three Classic Matte Dots as shown.

Last Chance for Retiring Stamps, Paper, Etc…

With every new catalog launch, we sadly have to say goodbye to some of our current stamps and paper.

Starting April 9th, some of the items on the last chance list will be up to 60% off.

Is there a stamp set you have had your eye on, but haven’t bought yet? Well the new last chance/retiring list just came out and you will want to make sure that it is not on it. Once the items are gone, they are gone forever.

There are actually two lists. One list is for the retiring items in the 2023-2024 annual catalog and the other the Jan-Apr 2024 mini catalog. Click on the buttons below to download the lists.

  1. I am making this card today to send to my 93 year old mom. She adores colors in the orange/coral range, loves roses, and gray is her favorite neutral color! Thank you for sharing!

    • I’m always happy to share Sandy. I am sure that your mother is just going to love it. You probably already have it made, but if not and you need help, just let me know.
