The Sweet Little Stockings stamp set isn’t just for the holidays. This cute thank you card pairs the kitty with the Welcoming Window stamp set.
The Sweet Little Stockings stamp set has three cute critters in it that can be used anywhere. So, no need to put the set up after the Holidays have passed. As you can see, they work great peeping out the window of this card.
This cute stamp set won’t be around much longer though. It is set to retire on January 3rd, so be sure to get yours before they are gone. Now, on to the card.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Gray Granite cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Stamp a window on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Crumb Cake ink and crop it with the Window Flower Box dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Cut the lower pane of the window out using your Paper Snips.
- Lay the window on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper (DSP) – do not adhere.
- With a pencil, lightly trace around the inside of the window.
- Using your Paper Snips, cut along the lines and remove the piece from the DSP.
- Adhere the window to the DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, ensuring that the holes line up.
Stamp the details
- On a piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the following: two shutters in Crumb Cake ink, one window ledge in Gray Granite ink, two large flowerpots and one small flowerpot in Cinnamon Cider ink, both flower sprays and the small ivy in Garden Green ink, one set of flowers in Calypso Coral ink, another set of flowers in Bumblebee ink, and a cat in Tuxedo Memento black ink. (hint- be sure to leave room around each image so that there is room to crop them out with the dies.)
- Color the cat with the following Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Petal Pink, and Smoky Slate.
- Crop out the images, as well as small label in Gray Granite cardstock, with the Window Flower Box and Stockings dies, using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Adhere the two shutters and the window ledge to the DSP using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, adhere to the card base using Stampin’ SEAL, and attach the DSP on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the flowers and ivy to the corresponding flowerpots and attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the cat and carefully tuck him in the window so that his paws hang over the edge.
- Stamp your sentiment on the small label with Tuxedo Memento black ink and attach to the upper right side of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach two Playing With Patterns Resin Dots as shown.
Doesn’t the kitty work perfectly with the window? I would love to hear your thoughts about it. Please let me know what you think of my Sweet Little Stocking’s window kitty card.

Love, Love, Love this! Never would have thought about using the kitty this way. I can’t wait to make this for my mom for mother’s day. She is going to love it. Thank you so much for sharing your brilliant idea with us! Have a great day
Thank you so much Lisa! I’m glad that I can give you an alternative way to use the kitty. I am sure that your mom will absolutely love it, especially if she is a kitty person like me. Let me know if you need any help with it. 🙂
