Tag, You’re It for the Pals Blog Hop

Pals blog hop badge

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Tag, You’re It” – tags or 3D projects to get you inspired for the upcoming gift season. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Tag, You're It for the Pals Blog Hop

Since this month’s theme is “Tag You’re It”, why not present a big box of tags? When I started crafting for this month’s challenge, I was just going to make a few tags. However, once I made them, I realized that I had no place to keep them. Well, I couldn’t just let them sit around to collect dust or get torn up by the cat, so I decided to add a box to my project.

The box couldn’t just be made out of anything either. I made it to match my home decor. If the box was going to sit out, it must blend in!

The Tags

The tags are a different story. They are a collection of three different holidays done in various colors and themes. There are two for Christmas, two for Halloween, and two for Valentine’s Day, but there is plenty of room in the box for more!

All the tags are the same size and have the same size layers, so the instructions to make the basic “shape” is as follows;

  • To make the basic tag, cut a 2″ x 5″ piece of card stock and punch the top with the Delightful Tag Topper.
  • Cut a 1 3/4″ x 4″ piece of designer series paper, layer on top of a 1 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of card stock, and adhere to the tag.
  • For the tags with the banners, cut one each of a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of card stock and a 3/4″ x 3 7/8″ piece of card stock, punch one of the ends of each piece with the Banner Pick a Punch, layer, and adhere to the card. (Be sure to stamp your sentiment before attaching to the card, just in case you need to re-stamp)
  • Fold a 6″ piece of Ribbon in half and thread it through the front of the tag, then thread the ends of the ribbon through the loop to attach.
