This textured floral card just makes me smile! Every time I look at it, it brings back great memories.

The great memories are tied to my Houston trip for OnStage. This was one of the cards that I made to swap with other demos. It was a lot of work, with all the stamping and die cutting, but I am proud of the finished product.
One part that made it so special for me was that I had help making some of them. I had everything stamped and cut out, but simply ran out of time to assemble them all. Thankfully, my friend Jennifer volunteered to help me with that task. We chatted a bit during the process and it was great crafting session! If it wasn’t for her helping me, I’m not sure I would have gotten them all done and slept that night.😉
I think another part of it that makes me smile is the color combination. Pretty Peacock is such a bold color and the bright florals really make it pop!
The Textured Floral stamp set is carrying over into the next catalog, but three other items used to make the card are not.

All three of these items are slated to retire on April 30th. They were some of my favorites and I am going to miss them. Currently they are all available, but if they are on your list of must haves, I wouldn’t wait much longer to get them. Once they are sold out, they are gone forever.
Now, it’s probably the time you have been waiting for. Here is how you make this beautiful card.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Crop a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock with the Dots & Spots die. Attach it to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the following on a piece of Basic White cardstock; one large flower in Calypso Coral, one medium flower, stamen, and small flower centers in Daffodil Delight, one small flower in Lost Lagoon, one medium flower center in Pebbled Path, and one large and small set of leaves in Old Olive ink.
- Crop the images and two leaf die cuts (shown below) in Old Olive cardstock using the Textured Floral dies.
- Tear the large set of leaves in two. Attach one half of it, as well as the other set of leaves and two leaf die cuts, to the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. (MLG).
Stamp Your Sentiment
- Stamp your sentiment on a 3/4” x 3 1/2” piece of Basic White cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink. Punch the left side of the sentiment with the Banners Pick a Punch and adhere it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. (Hint-it should line up with the right edge and the bottom edge should be about 1” from the bottom of the die cut.)
- Adhere the centers to the flowers and attach them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Cut two pieces of white Essentials Baker’s Twine. Lay them together and tie a bow with them. Attach it to the card using a Mini Glue Dot and trim the ends with your Paper Snips.
- Attach three Classic Matte Dots as shown.
