The CASE of Bloom & Grow From the Bottom of My Heart

Today’s card, Bloom & Grow From the Bottom of My Heart is a quick and easy thank you card. The design is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) that you can use with any theme and adds a unique look to the classic A2 card.

The card is a CASE, but the flowered paper is handmade. It is made by stamping on a plain piece of Whisper White card stock and colored using the following colors of Stampin’ Blends;

This card design is one that I absolutely love! It is not one that I came up with, rather it is from a card I received not long ago by a fellow demonstrator, Lisa Mowry. I simply changed the color scheme and made it my own.

There is nothing wrong with copying someone else’s work, as long as you give credit where it is due. In fact, CASEing is encouraged! It is a great way to get the creative juices going when you are sometimes in a rut. So, the next time you are struggling to come up with an idea, go get a card you received from someone else, and put your own twist to it – copy the design, the layout, or the color palette. You may just be surprised what you come up with.

To Make (or CASE) the Bloom & Grow From the Bottom of My Heart Card

• Make a card base by cutting a 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ piece of Rococo Rose card stock, score and fold at 3 1/4″.
• Adhere the following layers to the inside; a 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock, and a 1 1/4″” x 5 1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock with and a 1″ x 5″ piece of Regals designer series paper (DSP) in Rich Razzleberry on top. Arrange them so the white piece is to the left and the smaller piece is to the right.

• Stamp your flowers in random spots all over a 2 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White. Color the flowers with Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Rich Razzleberry, and Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends. Layer over a 3″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry and adhere to the card.
• Stamp your sentiment on a 1 1/8″ x  2 5/8″ piece of Whisper White card stock using Rich Razzleberry ink. Adhere it to a 1 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock, and attach to the card by applying adhesive to back of the left side only.
• Stamp two flowers, color with Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends and crop them using the Budding Blooms dies.
• Slightly overlap the edges of the flowers and adhere them together.
• Wrap a piece of Linen Thread around the stems of the flowers a couple of times, tie a bow. Adhere to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Finish by adding three Rhinestone Basic Jewels as shown.
