Today’s card, Uniquely Artistic in Tahitian Tide is for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop. Our theme this month is the new 2022-2024 In colors.
All five colors are gorgeous, but for this card, I chose to focus on just one of them; Tahitian Tide.
I normally add lots of layers to my cards, but I tried to focus on leaving it a little more simple this time. And no, simple doesn’t have to be boring. A little heat embossing and some Stampin’ Dimensionals add enough depth to prevent it from looking flat.
The primary stamp set for this card is Uniquely Artistic, but the sentiment is from the set called Nature’s Prints. They are both from the new 2022-2023 annual catalog and can be found on page 114 and 91 respectively.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Stamp your card base with the detailed leaves three times, and the three dots twice, using Versamark ink. Quickly dust the leaves with gold Embossing Powder, remove the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool. (hint- to ensure that your embossing stays neat, stamp one set of leaves at a time, then stamp the dots.)
- Using your embossing set up again, stamp two detailed flowers on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Versamark ink. Quickly dust the flowers with white Embossing Powder, remove the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
- Place your flowers on a piece of scrap paper and color with your Blending Brush using Tahitian Tide ink. Once complete, add some Night of Navy ink to the middle using your Blending Brush.
- Carefully wipe the flowers with a paper towel to remove the excess ink and fussy cut. (fussy cut means to cut out with your Paper Snips)
- Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tahitian Tide ink.
- Crop the following with the Natural Prints dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine: your sentiment, two large flowers and two small flowers in Vellum cardstock.
- Adhere the two embossed flowers together, overlapping slightly, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (MLG).
- Using more MLG, adhere two large and one small Vellum flower to the embossed flowers and one small vellum flower to the sentiment.
- Adhere the flowers and sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach five Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels as shown.

Thank you so much Lynne! Purchasing the stamp set is a great idea, it makes beautiful flowers. Unfortunately, it’s not a bundle, so there are no dies to cut the flowers. You’ll have to fussy cut them. 🙂
