Saying Hello with Bee Mine

Today’s card is saying hello with Bee Mine. It is an adorable card that can used to say hello, send birthday wishes, or wish a Happy Valentine’s Day.

Saying Hello with Bee Mine - main photo

This card was actually created a couple of months ago as part of a welcome gift for one of my downlines. It was shared on Instagram by Stampin’ Fancy Friday at the end of December and I just realized that I hadn’t shared it on my blog yet.

The Bee Mine suite is such an adorable collection! You can make many different bees, each with their own facial expressions, and you don’t have to fussy cut them. The coordinating Bee Builder punch does all the work for you.

The DSP is a lot of fun and the colors work really well together as you can see in this card. The price point for the bundle is a great deal too! Bee sure you don’t miss this one. It’s on pages 8-10 of the Jan-Apr 2024 mini catalog.

Stampin' Up! Bee Mine Suite

To make the card

  • Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Pool Party cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
  • Wrap a 7″ piece of Sweet Sorbet Bordered ribbon around a 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Bee Mine DSP, secure the ends with adhesive, and adhere to the card base.
  • Adhere another 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Bee Mine DSP to the card.
  • Crop a piece of Basic White cardstock with the 7th smallest circle, from the Deckled Circles dies, using your cut & emboss machine.

Time to stamp

  • Stamp your sentiment (from Darling Details stamp set) towards the top of the circle in Memento black ink. Then, stamp some flowers towards the bottom and left side using Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, and Sweet Sorbet ink.
  • On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the bee in Daffodil Delight. Stamp the bee stripes, the face, and the antenna’s in Memento black ink and the wings in Pool Party ink.
  • Apply some water to the wings using your Water Painter brush, just enough to smear some the blue ink and tint the inner part of the wings blue.
  • Punch the bee, antenna, and wings out with the Bee punch.
  • Adhere the circle to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, adhere the wings and antenna to the bee with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attach it on top of the circle with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thread a small piece of ribbon underneath the ribbon on the right, tie a knot, and trim the ends.
  • Attach six Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers as shown.
