I have a beauty for you today! It’s a Floral Congratulations Theme Challenge card for #TGIFC560.

This card was made for #TGIFC560’s Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration picture is below, and you can see that it feels romantic, elegant, and full of celebration.

I was inspired, not only by the colors, but the cake and flowers too! I wanted all of it, so I combined three different stamp sets to make it; Along These Lines, Petals of Beauty, and Wonderful Thoughts.

In order to make the flowers and cake feel soft, I colored them with my Blender Pens and Ink Pads.

To Make the Card

  • Begin with a 8-1/2″ x 7″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, score and fold at 3-1/2″ to form your card base.
  • Adhere a 8-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Brushed with Beauty DSP to the card base.
  • Wipe a large piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with an Embossing Buddy and stamp the cake (Along These Lines) in the center of it with Versamark ink. Quickly dust it with Gold embossing powder, tap off the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
  • Wipe the piece again with an Embossing Buddy and stamp a flower (Along These Lines) so that it lines up with the cake, with Versamark ink. Heat emboss it in Gold, like you did the cake, then repeat the process with another flower on the other side.
  • Color the cake and flowers with Blender Pens and the following ink pads; Calypso Coral, Darling Duckling, Mossy Meadow, and Petal Pink.
  • Cut the cake and flowers out with your scissors.
  • On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp two large flowers (Petals of Beauty) in Calypso Coral ink. Then stamp two small flowers (Petals of Beauty) in Petal Pink ink.
  • Using the Petals of Beauty dies cut out the following; the two large and small flowers, two sets of solid leaves in Mossy Meadow cardstock, and two airy leaves in Gold Foil.

Color some more

  • Color the flowers with Blender Pens and Calypso Coral and Petal Pink ink pads.
  • Adhere the gold leaves to the card, with the Mossy Meadow leaves on top of them, then adhere the two large flowers (with a space between them) on top.
  • Wipe a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock with an Embossing Buddy and stamp the sentiment (Wonderful Thoughts) on a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock using Versamark ink. Quickly dust it with Gold embossing powder, tap off the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
  • Cut the sentiment out with the coordinating dies.
  • Adhere the small flowers to the corners of the cake and adhere the piece to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Place the sentiment on top of the small flowers using more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach six Pearlized Faceted Circles as shown.
