Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Wonderful Cards/Projects from the Garden” where our design team showcase projects from things found in a garden, such as flowers, vegetables, fruits, or even a garden scene. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Once you finish here, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

When I think of flowers from the garden, peonies are the first thing that comes to mind. The peony dies make such beautiful flowers, so I wanted to really showcase them.
Instead of your typical one or two peony card, this one has six! It’s a labor of love to make, but very worth it. So, get your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine ready and lets go…
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Gray Granite cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4″ to form your card base.
- Cut three pieces of Vellum cardstock; one measuring 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″, one measuring 5 1/2″ x 1″, and the last 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″.
- Color the two larger pieces of vellum with you dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and the smaller one with your dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends.

- Using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and the Peony dies, crop three peonies in Petal Pink cardstock, with their stamen in Gray Granite, and three peonies in your Petal Pink vellum, with their stamen in Gray Granite vellum.
- Color the edges of the peonies with your sponge daubers, using Petal Pink and Gray Granite ink. (Hint- coloring the edges, including the vellum, makes them stand out and gives them dimension. See picture below.)
- Assemble your peonies (being sure to glue them as you go) and adhere them to a 4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, overlapping the edges a bit.
- Flip the piece over, trim the excess off with your Paper Snips, and adhere to the card base (all the way to the right) using Stampin’ SEAL.

- Wrap a 35″ piece of Silver Simply Elegant Trim around the left-front edge fold, tie a bow, and trim the ends.
- Crop a label from the Tasteful Labels dies in Gray Granite cardstock using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Stamp the sentiment on the label using Versamark ink, coat with the Silver Metallics Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off the excess, and set with your Heat Tool.
- Adhere the label to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach three Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials as shown.

Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on August 11th. Our theme will be “My Happiest Season” when our Design Team creates a project showcase projects inspired by their favorite season of the year. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
