Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “2021-2023 New In-Colors.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Then, at the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The 2021-2023 In Colors this year are gorgeous! I couldn’t just focus on one, so I had to showcase all five.
I also wanted to make them practical, so underneath all of these beautiful colors is a Post-it note pad. We all use them, so I thought I would jazz mine up a bit.
To make the 2021-2023 In Color Post-it note holders (the directions are for Fresh Freesia only, but will work for all colors)
- Begin with a 3 1/2″ x 7″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, score and fold at 3 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ to form the base of the holder.
- Adhere a 3″ x 3″ piece of Pansy Petals designer series paper (DSP) to the front and back of the holder using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Glue a Post-it note inside of the holder using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Cut a 1″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, score at 2″, 2 1/2″, 5 3/4″, and 6 1/4″, wrap around the post-it note holder, and adhere together (with the seam on the top) using Stampin’ SEAL. (hint- make sure it fits loosely, so you can slip it off and on easily.)
- Crop a Basic White label with the Hippo & Friends dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Stamp your sentiment on the label using Tuxedo Memento black ink and adhere to the Fresh Freesia band using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Stamp two small pansies on a piece of Basic White card stock as follows: Stamp the background pansy with Fresh Freesia ink. Second, stamp the detailed pansy stamp with Highland Heather ink. Third, stamp the detailed center using Tuxedo Memento black ink. Lastly, stamp the center using So Saffron ink.
- On another piece of Basic White card stock, stamp one long leaf using So Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink.
- Crop the pansies and the leaf with the Pansy dies using your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.
- Adhere the leaf to the pansies using a Glue Dot and attach to the Basic White label using Stampin’ SEAL.
- Attach two 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the holder as shown.
