Happy March 1st! Today I have a cute Easter Bunny card to share for the #TGIFC462 color challenge.
This color challenge, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, and Lemon Lolly, was admittedly a little hard for me. It’s not a typical color combo that I would use, and I almost didn’t participate. However, once I took a look at my stamp inventory, I quickly realized that it is the perfect combo for Easter!
To get the pastel colors in my card, I reached for the Patchwork Pieces dies. The little waves of color that they made created a perfect background for my little bunny.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Crop a piece of Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lolly cardstock with the Patchwork Pieces dies.
- Adhere the patchwork pieces die cuts to a 3 3/8” x 4 7/8” piece of Basic White cardstock, alternating the colors and leaving a small sliver of white between them.
- Stamp two layers of grass on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Garden Green ink. Color the grass with your Granny Apple Green dark Stampin’ Blend.
- Trim the grass to measure 3 3/8” wide and fussy cut the top blades with your Paper Snips.
- Stamp a bunny and three eggs on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink.
- Color the images with the following Stampin’ Blends; Balmy Blue (D), Bubble Bath (L), Crumb Cake (L), Flirty Flamingo (L), Gray Granite, Highland Heather, Lemon Lolly (D), and the Color Lifter. Then, fussy cut the images with your Paper Snips.
- Adhere two of the eggs to the back of the grass, then adhere the grass to the Patchwork Pieces piece.
- Attach the Patchwork Pieces piece to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the last egg to the back of the bunny’s foot and attach them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp your sentiment on a 5/8” x 3 1/2” piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink.
- Punch the left side of the sentiment with the Banners Pick a Punch and adhere to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach three Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems as shown.
