Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

The Sale-A-Bration brochure is full of so many great things, but the Detailed Dogwood stamp set has to be my favorite.

I just love the pink (or white) flowers that the dogwood tree produces and this stamped image of it really captures the flowers details. Whether you like to watercolor, or use your Stampin’ Blends, this image is perfect!!

The stamp set can be earned with a $100 purchase and can be found on page 15 of the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-A-Bration brochure.

To make the card

  • Begin with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of Thick Basic White cardstock, score at 4 ¼” to form your card base.
  • Stamp the large flower image, and two smaller flower images, on a piece of Watercolor paper using Stazon black ink.
  • Watercolor the images with your Water Painters and the following inks; Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, and Sweet Sorbet.
  • Fussy cut your images. (fussy cut means to cut with your Paper Snips.)
  • Apply a lot of water and some Flirty Flamingo ink to the top portion of a 3 ½” x 4 ¾” piece of Watercolor paper using your large Water Painter brush. With the paper still pretty wet, stamp a few images of the flowers with Flirty Flamingo ink. (the water will dilute the image and spread it out a bit) Once dry, adhere it to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Time to put it all together

  • Adhere the smaller flowers to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and attach the larger flower image to the top with more Dimensionals. Apply some Wink of Stella to the larger flowers.
  • Apply some Versamark ink to the word on the left side of the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder. Lay the die upside down where you just applied ink, then lay a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock on top. Carefully close the folder and run through your Cut & Emboss machine.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach four Rhinestone Basic Jewels as shown.
  • For an added touch, adhere a 2 1/2″ x 6″ piece of Most Adored Specialty DSP to the flap of a Basic White envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Trim off the excess with your Paper Snips.
