Happy Friday!! Here is a Lifetime of Love Congratulations card that I made for #TGIFC494 sketch challenge.
I love sketch challenges, and this one does not disappoint! It’s a simple sketch, but as you can see from my card, you can make it as fancy as you like.
To make this card fancy, I used a lot of gold elements and the stamp set Lifetime of Love. The two make a perfect wedding card!
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Sandwich a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Timber embossing folder and run through your Cut & Emboss machine.
- Adhere the embossed piece to a 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” piece of Gold Foil Sheet, then adhere to the card base.
- Stamp one large flower, two medium flowers, and two small flowers on a piece of Basic White cardstock, using Memento black ink.
- Color the large and medium flowers with Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. Then, color the two small flowers with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.
- Place a small dab of gold Metallic Enamel Effects on an acrylic block, pick up a small amount of it with your smallest Water Painter, and color the leaves and center of flowers. Let dry.
Time to emboss
- Place some Masking Paper over the words on your stamp (all except the word “congratulations”), ink up your stamp with your Versamark ink, remove the paper, and stamp on the bottom of a 2” x 2” piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Quickly dust it with Gold embossing powder, tap off the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
- Adhere the sentiment to a 2 1/8” x 2 1/8” piece of Gold Foil Sheet. Then adhere two 1” x 2” pieces of Night of Navy cardstock to two 1 1/8” x 2 1/8” pieces of Gold Foil Sheet.
- Apply some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the layered pieces and attach them to the card as shown.
- Crop the flower images, as well as two leaves in Gold Foil Sheet, with the Lifetime of Love dies.
- Adhere the leaves to the back of the big flower. Then, adhere one small flower to each medium flower, and attach all to the card.
- Attach three small Blooming Pearl embellishments as shown.
