A Sentimental Park Color Challenge for #TGIFC484

Happy Friday! Today is a color challenge and I am using the stamp bundle Sentimental Park for it.

What a color combination, right? Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight are hues that just scream flowers to me. So, it was a pretty easy decision to make when grabbing the Sentimental Park stamp bundle to do it. Look at all those flower possibilities!!

Of course, it doesn’t have the big “hello” in it, I got that from the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder.

Now, on to how I made the card.

To make the card

  • Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
  • Sandwich a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Dotted Circles embossing folder and run through your Cut & Emboss machine.
  • Wrap a piece of black Baker’s Twine around the center of the embossed piece, twice, and adhere the twine to the back. Then, adhere the piece to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Stamp some flower backgrounds on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Daffodil Delight ink and the stamp off method. Then stamp the flower details in Daffodil Delight ink. (Hint- stamp off means to stamp on a scrap piece of paper, then without re-inking, stamp your image.)
  • Color a portion of the petals with your Pretty in Pink light Stampin’ Blend and color the centers in Melon Mambo dark.

  • Crop the flowers with the Sentimental Park dies and four small leaf sprigs in Melon Mambo with the Thoughtful Moments dies. Adhere them to the card as shown below.

Stamp some more

  • Ink up the word “hello” on the Thoughtful Moments embossing folder with your Memento black ink, place the die on top, add a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock, and run through your Cut & Emboss machine.
  • Stamp your sentiment on a 3/4” piece of Basic Black cardstock. Quickly dust it with some white embossing powder, tap off the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
  • Trim the ends of the sentiment, and a 1/2” strip of Pretty in Pink DSP, diagonally with your Paper Snips. Then, adhere the two strips together, then adhere the “hello” to them, and attach to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Attach three Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems as shown.
