Happy Friday!! Today for #TGIFC500, I am tearing it up with the Iconic Imagery stamp bundle.
The #TGIFC challenge this week is a torn paper technique, and it’s oh so fun! It’s a fantastic way to show layers and incorporate coordinating colors on your project.
For this card, I was able to show different layers of blue and tie in the gold, all by tearing the paper. Oh, and to balance out the torn look, I tore the paper around my sentiment at the top too.
To create this fabulous Hanukkah card, I made a menorah with the dies from the Iconic Imagery dies. A little adjusting of the label dies, and viola!
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Adhere a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Night of Navy cardstock to the card base.
- Sandwich a 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” piece of Basic White cardstock in the Snowflake Sky embossing folder, run through your machine, and adhere to the card.
- Tear a 3 7/8” wide piece each of Iconic Celebrations DSP, Gold foil sheet, and Night of Navy cardstock, layer them, and adhere them to the card.
- Working in batches, stamp nine candles on a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Quickly dust them with gold embossing powder, remove the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
- Crop the candles, and the following with a piece of Silver Foil paper; one small and one medium label from Iconic Imagery, and one sentiment from the Wanted to Say dies.
- Cut the small label in two, then run 1/2 of it, and the large label through your machine again, trimming them to 1/2 the width.
- Adhere the small 1/2 label to the top of the large label, and the large 1/2 label to the bottom. Then, adhere the candles to it.
- Attach the menorah to the card using Foam Adhesive Strips.
- Adhere your silver sentiment to a 1 1/4” x 3” piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Then, tear an outline, and adhere it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp your sentiments on a 3/8” piece of Basic White cardstock using Night of Navy ink. Trim them with your Paper Snips and adhere to the card using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach seven Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots to the menorah as shown.
