The 12 weeks of Christmas; week 2 is upon us already! Today’s beauty highlights what you can do with designer series paper.

The highlight of this card really is the designer series paper. There is a little bit of stamping involved, but it’s just the wording around the corners. The designer series paper is the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper. It includes 3 different flocked designs on vellum paper. It is gorgeous in it’s own right, but you can also color it.
The stamp set is called Festive Corners. It is a set of 15 photopolymer stamps that covers three holidays; Christmas, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day. Having three holiday choices really makes it a versatile set!
Now, this card doesn’t just use these two items, there are others too! You will also find a little bit of Poinsettia Place DSP (now on sale) and the envelope wouldn’t be complete without the Envelopes dies.

To make this card
- Begin with a card base in Old Olive and layer with a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Poinsettia Place DSP.
- Spritz a 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock with a little Champaign Shimmer Paint mixed with some alcohol
- Once dry, stamp the sentiment in the corners with Crumb Cake ink, mark up the edges with your bone folder to give it a worn look, and adhere it to the card.
- Fussy cut two poinsettias from the Plush Poinsettia Specialty DSP, and using a sponge dauber, color them in So Saffron and Crumb Cake ink.
- Crop some Old Olive leaves using the Forever Flourishing dies and punch some sprigs in Silver Foil using the Sprig Punch.
- Adhere the greenery and silver foil sprigs to the card and layer the poinsettias on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach Beaded Pearls to the center of the poinsettias using a glue dot.
To dress up the envelope
- Cut a 5 1/4″ x 6″ piece of Poinsettia Place DSP and crop the edge using the middle-sized envelopes die. Add a little adhesive to the back side and slip it inside your envelope.

Although it is hard to see in the photos, there is some shimmer in the background. The Champagne Shimmer Paint really adds a nice touch, it just doesn’t photograph well.

Beautiful card!! It’s nice that you used green as most people are using red. I have both the poinsettia & the festive corners & love them both!! Thanks for your inspiration to use green!!!
