I have a color challenge card today, made with the Crafting With You bundle.
This color challenge, Red, White, and Basic Black was a tough one for me. If it were February, it would have been a little easier.😉
After searching through my stash of stamps for something that would work for this color challenge, I chose the Crafting With You bundle. This bundle is a carry-over and can be found on page 75 of the annual catalog.
It’s a great little set to have on hand. We all LOVE paper crafting, so it makes great cards to give to your crafty friends.
To make the card
- Begin with a 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, score and fold at 4 1/4” to form your card base.
- Sandwich a 2” x 4 3/4” piece of Real Red cardstock in your Exposed Brick embossing folder and run through your machine. Adhere the piece to a 3 1/2” x 4 3/4” piece of Basic White cardstock.
- Wrap two 6” pieces of black Baker’s Twine around the bottom of the piece (about 3/4” from the bottom) and secure the ends with Stampin’ SEAL.
- Adhere the piece to a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of Basic Black cardstock and attach both to the card base.
Time to stamp
- On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the following; a easel in Memento black ink, a set of flowers and one small flower in Real Red, and a set of flowers and one small flower in Garden Green ink.
- Crop your images, cut the green flowers as shown below with your Paper Snips, and adhere them to the red flowers.
- Attach the easel to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attach the flower bunch to it with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink. Quickly dust it with white Embossing Powder, tap off the excess, and set in place with your Heat Tool.
- Crop the sentiment with the Nested Essentials dies. Adhere it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attach the small flower on top with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Lay two pieces of black Baker’s Twine together, tie them in a small bow, trim the ends, and attach to the card using a Mini Glue Dot.
- Attach three Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems as shown.
